Govt-run schoolteachers do not take classes: report
QUETTA: About 78 per cent of children in Balochistan are deprived of primary education because a majority of teachers in government-run schools do not bother to take classes as they enjoy political support, according to a survey report released here on Thursday.

Survey: Absentee teachers ratio higher in Balochistan
Friday, February 08, 2013 - Quetta—A survey conducted in 29 districts of Balochistan in 2012 revealed that certain teachers in government schools were found absent. This was disclosed in a ceremony held in connection with launching of survey report 2012 organized by the organization Annual Status of Education Report (ASER) here on Thursday. Provincial Secretary Education Munir Ahmed Badini said that, “Our teachers are not properly trained,” adding that teachers should pay heed to learning instead adopting dictatorial mindset and attitude towards students.
