Call for Research Papers
 
To mark the 5th anniversary of the Annual Status of Education Report (ASER) in Pakistan, we invite researchers and graduate students to submit an original research paper using ASER survey data sets. ASER data is available for free and open access at the following

Instructions to follow:
Each submitted paper should be developed using the following guidelines. Please follow the following structure:
Content
 
Introduction: Provides a short background and rationale for the discussion topic. Address the questions that the article aims to answer. Provide sufficient background information about the issue (that is, the policy, educational and social contexts, political context or the assessment (e.g. assessment purpose, target population, design, constructs/content measured, data processing and dissemination information), or any other information that is necessary to contextualise your article within the framework of the guide of good practices.
Discussion: Answer the questions you present in the introduction. Back up your ideas by research, data, results or other examples where relevant (Literature review). Discuss challenges, implementation or policy implications as well as complementarity/similarity or differences with other methods/assessments.
Conclusion: Summarise the main findings/outcomes and achievements.  Highlight one or more recommendations or solutions you would share with the wider community.
Structure
 
Articles should not exceed 10 pages
Introduction – up to 2 pages
Discussion – up to 6 pages (including literature review)
Conclusions – up to 2 pages
Provide a list of references used in your article using APA style
Use the terms and definitions provided to facilitate the readers’ comprehension and increase comparability.
